Chat with Gonu
Think through an idea, explain pasted code, or work with a specialist in a shared conversation.
WHEN IT HELPS
Put it to work.
Use Chat for quick explanations, planning discussions and drafts that do not need direct access to local files.
Before you begin
- Open /chat to try a short conversation without an account.
- Guest chat needs an available Gonu trial allowance. Sign in for saved history and agents.
WALK THROUGH IT
See the workflow, step by step.
Synthetic sample content, with simplified screens. No model call, upload, account change or paid task runs here.
Choose Try on web, then start a new conversation. Describe the outcome and paste only relevant, non-sensitive context. No setup or model choice is required for guest chat.
Sign in from the chat screen to reveal your agent controls. Free accounts use Auto; a subscription enables model choice. Keep Agents on Auto or choose your installed agents and skills.
Read the response and ask a follow-up. Signed-in conversations can be reopened from history. Guest chats remain only in this tab until refresh. Move to Worker for file edits or terminal checks.

A REQUEST TO START WITH
Help me plan a searchable team handbook. Ask about missing requirements, then propose a small first version with permission checks and tests.
THE USEFUL RESULT
What you should leave with.
An answer you can refine in the browser; sign in to keep new conversations across Gonu.
Know the boundaries.
- Guest mode has a daily network allowance, bounded context and no agents or tools. Failed and stopped attempts count; resets happen at midnight UTC.
- A chat answer is not evidence that code was changed or tests ran.
- Cloud models process the context you share. Remove credentials and confidential material you are not allowed to send.
IF SOMETHING DOESN’T WORK
Send is unavailable or a response fails.
In guest mode, check the allowance or sign in from Chat. For signed-in chat, check Models and Usage. Preserve your request and read the error before retrying.
