Create & choose agents

Give a reusable specialist a clear job, instructions and a limited set of tools.

WHEN IT HELPS

Put it to work.

Keep recurring review or documentation expectations consistent without rewriting a long prompt for every conversation.

Before you begin

  • An existing account.
  • A narrow responsibility and a description of good output.

WALK THROUGH IT

See the workflow, step by step.

Interactive example

Synthetic sample content, with simplified screens. No model call, upload, account change or paid task runs here.

  1. Open Agents & skills, choose My agents and create an agent. Enter a unique name, description and instructions.

  2. Select only the tools needed for the job. A review specialist usually starts with read tools. Save it and keep it enabled.

  3. Use the agent from the library or select it manually in Chat/Worker. Auto can coordinate enabled specialists; manual selection narrows the chosen team.

Step 1 of 3

A REQUEST TO START WITH

Review the selected change for correctness, authorization and missing tests. Cite file locations and explain each finding. Do not modify files.

THE USEFUL RESULT

What you should leave with.

A reusable specialist configuration. Actual actions still follow the task mode, available tools and server permissions.

Know the boundaries.

  • Instructions cannot grant access to another workspace or override approvals.
  • A named agent is not a guarantee that every request needs multiple agents.

IF SOMETHING DOESN’T WORK

Your agent is missing from selection.

Check that it was saved and enabled in the correct account/workspace, refresh the library, then start a new task.
