Interactive example

Synthetic sample content, with simplified screens. No model call, upload, account change or paid task runs here.

  1. Install the supplied VSIX with Extensions → Install from VSIX, or use the source development instructions. Run Gonu: Sign In and approve the matching device code.

  2. Open the authorized folder. Use Gonu: Select Organization and Gonu: Select Model, then start a task from the sidebar or an editor command.

  3. Read the before/after diff before approving. Inspect task evidence or checkpoint recovery, and resolve conflicting unsaved buffers before edits.

Full guide & troubleshooting
  1. 1

VS Code 1.105 or newer and an approved Gonu VSIX. Node.js 22 is required when building from source.

  2. 2

Extensions → More Actions (…) → Install from VSIX, then select your supplied .vsix file.

  3. 3

Open a trusted project, run Gonu: Sign In, and approve the matching device code in your Gonu account.

  4. 4

Start with Gonu: Ask or Gonu: Plan. Shared task history does not copy local repository files between devices.

Model access and usage follow your account and workspace policy. Free uses Auto; eligible subscriptions unlock model selection. Local files stay on their device unless you explicitly share selected context.
