Desktop Worker

Install Worker on Linux

Choose the published Linux package that matches your distribution and CPU.

WHEN IT HELPS

Put it to work.

Set up Worker on a Linux development machine using AppImage or a Debian/Ubuntu package when that release provides it.

Before you begin

  • An available Linux release on Download.
  • The correct architecture and the libraries required by your distribution.

WALK THROUGH IT

See the workflow, step by step.

Interactive example

Synthetic sample content, with simplified screens. No model call, upload, account change or paid task runs here.

  1. Open Download and inspect Linux assets. amd64/x64 identifies Intel/AMD 64-bit; arm64 identifies ARM64. Check release notes if the filename is ambiguous.

  2. For AppImage, use file properties to allow execution, then open it. For .deb, open the file in the system package installer and review its prompt.

  3. Open Worker from the application or downloaded file. Sign in and choose a Gonu model in Settings → Models. Start with an Ask task in an authorized folder.

THE USEFUL RESULT

What you should leave with.

A locally installed Worker, subject to the published build and your distribution’s requirements.

Know the boundaries.

  • Download availability does not certify every Linux distribution or native feature.
  • If the release does not list your architecture, do not assume another architecture will work.

IF SOMETHING DOESN’T WORK

The application does not launch.

Check architecture and package-manager dependency messages. Send support the distribution, version, architecture and error, with secrets removed.
