Cloud and local models

Choose your model. Understand the data path.

Choose a Gonu-provided model without a personal API key. Desktop Worker also supports optional local Ollama inference.

Web cloud processing

Imported documents are stored by Gonu. Selected text is sent to the provider you choose after approval. Cloud provider terms apply. OpenRouter models also pass through its gateway. Gonu stores platform keys only in backend configuration; users never receive them.

Desktop local inference

Ollama inference can run on your computer. Account authentication, synchronization and certain tools still connect to Gonu or third parties. Check the selected tools before sharing sensitive context.

Connection and limits

Available models depend on your plan, workspace policy and Gonu’s enabled catalog. Each model displays its usage multiplier. Provider outages can still prevent a task; errors remain visible. Existing customer-key connections are preserved for compatibility.
